Jailhouse celebrities.

Lindsay Lohan
The latest celeb to be facing jail time is troubled American actress Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay has had a history of drug and alcohol abuse and and was scheduled to appear in court in May 20th, 2010 for her DUI (Driving Under the Influence) report hearing. Later, on July 6th, the judge found that Lindsay had violated the terms of her probation by not attending the required number of alcohol education classes and sentenced her to 90 days in prison, starting JUly 20th. Whether she'll actually end up going to jail or not is anyone's guess.
Salman Khan
Hindi cinema's very own bad-boy-with-a-heart-of-gold, Salman Khan is famous for getting into trouble with the law. On September 28th, 2002, Salman was arrested for rash and negligent driving that caused the death of one person sleeping on the pavement. He was found not guilty after the charges of culpable homcide levied against him were dropped.
Four years later, he was in the news for causing another death - this time of an endangered animal. On April 10th, 2006, he was remanded to Jodhpur Jail with a five-year jail term. After a series of appeals and bail hearings, he finally ended up spending six days at the Jodhpur Central jail.
Paris Hilton
The publicity-hunger socialite is famous for many things - appearing in a homemade sex tape, being the heiress to a hotel chain, many-a-flop music videos and movies and for spending 23 days in a Los Angeles jail for a series of drunken driving-related offenses.
We wonder why these celebs with all this money can't just hire themselves a chauffer!
Fardeen Khan
In what appeared to be a setup, actor Fardeen Khan was arrested in 2001 outside an ATM in Juhu for possession of cocaine. He was released after a 5-day stint in jail, although the case against him is still unresolved.
Chris Brown
In 2009, one of America's most popular couples made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Singer Rihanna levied charges of domestic violence against her boyfriend and Brown turned himself in to the cops but was released shortly on bail.
Sanjay Dutt
Actor Sanjay Dutt's list of troubles is not hidden from the public. From his drug problem as a young man to his failed marriages, Sanjay Dutt has led a tumultuous life. The greatest low he probably saw was when he was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Prevention (TADA) Act in connection with the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai. He spent 16 months in jail till he was finally granted bail in October 1995.
Again, in 2007, the actor was in and out of jail and currently has an appeal pending for an acquittal.
 Robert Downey, Jr.
The talented actor and star of 'Iron Man' has fought a well-publicised battle with drugs in the past. Between 1996 and 2003, he was frequently arrested on drug-related charges and spent a year in California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison
Shiney Ahuja
Shiney Ahuja was an up-and-coming actor with what seemed like a bright future ahead of him. In 2009, however, he made headlines after being accused of raping his maid and ended up spending 110 days in custody.
Nicole Richie
Daughter of singer Lionel Richie, Nicole shot into the limelight as Paris Hilton's former BFF (Best Friends Forever) when they appeared together on a reality show.
In 2003, Richie was arrested and charged with possession of heroin while driving with a suspended driver's license. Again, in 2006 she was arrested for driving whie under the influence and was sentenced to 4 days in prison. However, she was released after spending just 82 minutes in the jail house, apparently due to a problem of overcrowding in the jail system.
Mike Tyson
Known for his ferocious style of boxing and considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, In 1992, Mike Tyson was convicted of sexually assaulting 18-year-old Desiree Washington and consequently served three years in prison. During his incarceration, he converted to Islam and recently visited Mecca on a pilgrimage.
