Sehwag says India still World Champions

,
Adelaide: India's stand-in skipper in the Adelaide Test - which India lost on Saturday by 298 runs to lose the series 4-0 - Virender Sehwag said while the team fared poorly in the Test series, ODIs will be a different ball game as they are still the World Champions.
"We are still the World Champions. Tests are different from ODIs. Australians were better and so they won the series but we care about our performance as well," said Sehwag after India lost their last four wickets within the first hour on day five to lose the Adelaide Test.
Sehwag admitted that the team couldn't fire as a unit and hoped that the hard work shows up in the upcoming tri-series in which Sri Lanka are the third team.
"Everyone has been working hard but players themselves have to go out and execute the plans. The defeat is disappointing but we need the support of fans," Sehwag said, urging the fans to stand with the team in its hour of adversity.
India start the limited-overs leg of their Australia tour with two T20s against the hosts on February 1 and 3, which will be followed by the tri-series.
