In a display of her allegiance to Salman Khan, the man who launched her in Bollywood, Zarine Khan has turned down an item song with Vivek Oberoi.
Following the good response to ‘Character Dheela’ in the hit movie Ready last year, Zarine Khan had expressed her desire to do more item songs. Though the girl is playing a plum role in Housefull 2, she needed item songs as they promise easy and quick money.
Heeding Zarine Khan’s wish, Maanayata Dutt asked hubby Sanjay Dutt to rope in Zarine for an item number in his film Zilla Ghaziabad. Zarine, who needs money to buy a house in Mumbai, was reportedly being offered Rs. 30 lakh for the number.
However, when Zarine Khan heard that her item number will be with Vivek Oberoi, she baulked. Doing an item with Vivek who has a permanent place in Salman Khan’s bad books, would have riled Sallu. And therefore, Zarine declined the offer. About the loss of the item, she needn’t fret. With a snap of his fingers, Salman Khan could get her some.
