Vadodara: 'Bad language' students back in school

,

Vadodara:  Using their freedom of speech on social networking site Facebook proved costly for six girls in a Vadodara convent, who were suspended for a week by their school for using abusive language online, while referring to the election process of the head girl. Now, the school has decided to revoke the suspension. (Read: School suspends girls for using abusive language on Facebook)

Vadodara school has now taken back the six students it suspended for a week. The students allegedly posted objectionable messages on the fan page of the school on social networking site Facebook.

The controversy began when some students alleged that a teacher and some school authorities had conspired with some other students to rig the election of the Head Girl. Those backing the elected candidate replied using strong language.

"We have initiated action against the students, but in such cases it's the responsibility of the parents to keep a check on the students when they are using such networking sites and also using objectionable languages there," said Mary Dsouza, Principal, CJM School.
And students across the state seem to agree with the school.
