Yuvi ‘isolated’ after dengue; India feel the fever

,
It was a big setback for team India ahead of the big match against the home side in the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka. Star batsman Yuvraj Singh has been diagnosed with mild dengue fever and will miss action for the next few days till he recovers.

Yuvi has been put in 'isolation' in Dambulla and chances are he may be flown back to India for treatment. It worsens an already miserable tour for the dashing batsman, who found himself mired in controversy after the 'waterboy' incident in the first test.
Yuvraj's injury is a jolt for the Indian side already struggling with injuries and 'form' problems in the series. Barring the win in the 3rd test match against Sri Lanka at P Sara Oval, the Indians have failed to make a strong impression on the tour so far.
Fitness problems came to haunt the side during their first fixture of the tri-series when a moderate New Zealand managed to shut out India, leaving the Asian champions with one of their worst ever ODI defeats.

India will need to pull up their game several notches to have any chance against the gritty Lankans, who made a heavy weather of their win over the kiwis after looking commanding right through the match. Team think tank will face an uphill task of stringing together a fit line up for tomorrow's game.

Injury worries for Team India ahead of the match against Sri Lanka...

Yuvraj Singh - Dengue fever

Dinesh Karthik - Injured during practice session

Ishant Sharma - Ankle injury

With the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh rested for the tour and Gautam Gambhir missing the bus due to injury, Team India's chances now hinge on fringe players to do the trick against the Lankans.
