New Delhi: After parents of an 8-year-old boy alleged that he was sodomised by a doctor on duty at the All India Medical Sciences Institute in the capital, the hospital has promised strict action if the doctor is found guilty. The hospital PRO said this morning that a fact finding committee has been set up to look into these allegations. Doctors at the ICU department of AIIMS have been questioned as well. A report is likely to be submitted tomorrow. The 8-year-old boy's family had alleged that the child, who was admitted there for a surgery, was sodomised by a doctor last week.The victim's father said that he had filed a complaint after the boy complained.
"My son told me what happened and I filed a complaint. He has told the officers himself about the doctor," said Victim's Father.
"Preliminary fact finding committee has been setup after complaint has been received and all the staff of the ICU have been questioned. The report is expected to be submitted on February 1. Strictest possible action will be taken against the guilty. We will not take Doctor's name, till it is proven," said AIIMS official Dr YK Gupta.
