Noida: A couple travelling on a motorcycle was shot at here Wednesday morning following a dispute over property, police said. The wife is in a critical condition. Manuwah Hussain, 40, and his wife Meena Hussain, 38, were attacked around 9.15 a.m. by a man identified as Ladden, who was driving a Mahindra Scorpio.
'The wife was shot in her stomach while her husband was shot in the back at the intersection of Sector 25 and 35. Both were rushed to Kailash Hospital in Sector 27,' police in this suburban town adjacent to the national capital said.
According to police, the couple had earlier registered a case against the assailant over a property dispute and this may be the reason behind the attack.
'The wife is critical with severe injuries and the husband is recuperating,' an attendant at Kailash Hospital said.
