NEW DELHI: Leander Paes has been on the tennis circuit for over two decades now, but the wait for a career Grand Slam only ended last week.
The doubles triumph at the Australian Open out of the way, the next aim for the premier tennis player is a second Olympic medal.
"I still don't know who my partner will be at the London Olympics. I just hope he'll have as much passion to win a medal," Paes said on Sunday.
The 38-year-old believes London could be his best chance to add to the bronze medal he won in the 1996 Atlanta Games.
"It may well be my best chance but don't know if it'll be my last," he added.
Paes said winning the Australian Open's doubles title has boosted his hopes.
"We have started the year well and I think I solidified my decision to play in the Olympics. For me to participate is okay but I never go to any tournament just to participate, I go there to win and that's what I am looking for," he added.
