Not obsessed with PM post: Rahul

Gandhi said at a press confe
rence on Monday that he is committed to change Uttar Pradesh where people have been 'fooled' by the successive governments in the past 22 years.

"The people are telling me that for 22 years, we have been fooled," Gandhi said.

"What has been going in Uttar Pradesh is crime, nothing less than that" he said.

He said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav have forgotten to 'listein' to the people of the state.


He said that Congress will try to change Uttar Pradesh.

"We have come here to change Uttar Pradesh and we will collaborate only with the people of this state," he said.

Monday is the final day of campaigning for the first phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh.

UP is going to witness a highly charged assembly poll with Congress going all out to regain its lost ground in the heartland state as party leader Rahul Gandhi devoting full time for the elections by challenging Mayawati while other important players are Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

UP is going to polls on Feb 8, Feb 11, Feb 15, Feb 19, Feb 23, Feb 28 and March 3.

Counting of votes is on March 6 along with all four other states that are going to elections.
