Actress Vijayasanthi's comments come under EC scanner

he Central Election Commission in Delhi will decide on any action to be taken against TRS MP and popular South Indian actress, Vijayasanthi, for her alleged inflammatory remarks on Telangana issue, Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) I V, Subba Rao, said today.

Vijayasanthi had yesterday reportedly asked the Telangana supporters to "chop down the foes of Telangana".
Against the backdrop of some Telangana supporters issuing threats to those contesting the by-elections in the region on July 27, the CEO had earlier asserted that any inflammatory statements would not be tolerated.
He again made an appeal to the political parties and leaders today to refrain from making any inflammatory statements.
Bypolls would be held for 12 assembly constituencies in Telangana on July 27.
