Rear Admiral dies in accidental firing

Kochi: The chief of Southern Naval Command, Rear Admiral SS Jamwal, died in an accidental firing here on Wednesday.
According to initial reports, the Rear Admiral was killed in an accidental fire on board a warship, INS Dronacharya, here. "Chief of Staff of the Southern Naval Command, Rear Admiral S.S. Jamwal, has died in an accidental fire," navy spokesman Commander P.V.S. Satish told IANS. The navy has ordered a high-level inquiry into the death of the 51-year-old officer.
