The Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is writing a song for a movie based on the Telangana agitation. The movie, the shooting for which started on Thursday, is titled Jai Bolo Telangana and will be directed by Tollywood director N. Shankar. Mr Rao has finished writing half the song and will complete it once he is back from his New Delhi trip. Mr Rao, who is known for his “punchy” dialogues and crowd-pulling speeches in the Telangana dialect, is believed to have begun the song with the lines Garadi Chesthundru... Garadi Chesthundru (they are misguiding us).

The song that Mr Rao is penning is situational and explains the exploitation the region has undergone in the last few years and how a new united AP movement has come up overnight.

“Mr Rao has good knowledge of literature and it reflects in his speeches. He readily agreed to write a song for the film,” said Shankar. Chakri will be composing the music but the singer is yet to be finalised. Revolutionary singer Gaddar is also writing a song for the film. Shooting for the film began on Thursday at Begumpet and film industry bigwigs Murali Mohan, K. Raghavendar Rao, the TRS chief’s daughter, Ms Kavitha, and son, Mr K.T. Rama Rao, the TRS leader, Mr Jayashankar, the BJP leaders, Mr Vidyasagar Rao and Mr Bandaru Dattatreya, and OU JAC leaders shared the dais during the launch.
