Guwahati: A six-year-old child was killed after Bodo militants blew up a rail track causing six coaches and the engine of a passenger train to derail near Gosaingaon in Kokrajhar district of Assam on Thursday.
The driver and seven others passengers were injured in the incident. The train - Garib Rath - was on its way from Guwahati to Kolkata when the incident took place.
A relief train was immediately sent to the derailment spot to take the passengers to their destinations.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, two blasts took place on the tracks near Dhekiajuli.
